Canopy sentinel
Langur troops are the forest alarm. A sudden cough from the canopy often means a leopard — sometimes a tiger — is close. Watch where they look, not only the monkeys themselves.
They use dhok and other hill trees across the reserve. Do not feed them at gates. A habituated troop is a problem for the next drive.
